Hazeldene is an easy five minute drive from the centre of Masterton. Built in the late 1930’s, the homestead sits on four acres of land and recently underwent substantial modifications. The extensive garden is perfect for the wedding photos and includes flower and veggie, an orchard, swimming pool and tennis court, a large deck and even an old barn. Guests are most welcome to use these facilities – and if desired, even pull some weeds!
Hosts Phill and Lorraine offer a warm and friendly, comfortable environment to relax, enjoy and entertain. For guests staying at Hazeldene, we are
happy to pick up and drop off from either the local train station or our local airport (with daily flights to and from
Masterton and Auckland) – including delivering our guests to any local event. We can also provide transport to and/or from the wider Wairarapa and Wellington – by arrangement.
The accommodation offers a choice of two spacious guest rooms, a modern bathroom complete with spa bath, and the use of a large lounge adjacent to the guest rooms. Whilst the separate lounge is available to guests, we invite you to join us in our family room – we just enjoy entertaining!
